Pumpkins

Since this is the season I have pumpkins that are still green on the vine can I fed them to my chickens?

Pumpkins are like any squash. They will sweeten as they age. The change of color of the skin indicates the active sugars.

I feed all varieties of squashes, including pumpkins, to my chickens. They will eat them at any stage.
