I think a hawk may have tried to make off with my Bluebell. She has 4 puncture wounds on her neck, quite deep.
The flock was gathered around staring at a bushy part of my yard, then going away for a while, then coming back. I went to investigate and poor Bluebell came out from under the bushes and joined the flock. They all took off together but then I saw the blood on her neck.
As soon as I discovered her injuries I washed them with running water (room temp). I also used hand sanitizer for germ control.
Now what?
Did I read on this forum that I can't use polysporin? Or can I?
Will see the vet tomorrow if necessary. She's drinking water. Container is large enough for her nostrils. I have her in a crate by herself in the house. Actually in my bathtub because my little dog is too interested.

Ack!!!

A hawk got my Uno and Bebe. And yeah...took the heads right off. I am SO GLAD Bluebell made it. Hopefully someone with more first aid experience will stop by.
