Hey Y’all!
We currently have 72 hens free ranging in Northeast Louisiana. We have owned chickens since 2016 and just love them. We just bought two Great Pyrenees puppies that are 9 weeks old and I’m hoping to get advice on training them to protect our chickens. Thank you in advance!!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens, so glad you joined the flock. I believe I have read on BYC that Great Pyrenees pups should grow up with the flock and learn to protect them. Not sure how you accomplish that without them harming the chickens.

Also they tend to wander and may include a neighbors flock as part of their own. So they should be fenced in.
