BYC Café

Good Morning,

Just finished drinking my 1st cup of coffee now. The weather reported that the extreme heat is over today. It was so very extreme heat yesterday. I looked my the fans and I was not sure if they were moving, only know that they were moving because I came close to inspect.
On the news it reported heat waves nationwide, it is also has news of America snow storms. We are suffering of the extreme heat wave and over there you all cover up extreme cold snow storm.

I got a box of mango yesterday on the road by the farmer with their truck filled with mangoes. I think they get more profit this way selling directly to the public $3 per massive R2E2 Mango. When they sell it to the big corporation, they dictate the price how much they will pay the farmer.

Keep warm, stay safe and I keep cool

The wind is going to pick up here. The chickens don't like the wind, even if it's from the side with the best wind protection (west). They hang out in the coop. But they'll come out for chickie snack, at least.

Maybe it's the noise they object to. Hmmm.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! It has warmed up here thanks to the breezes. Highs above freezing now.
We only got a few inches of snow and who knows where it landed.
DH and I are going on an errand run today and I have to take DAF to a doc appt tomorrow.
Have fun today, Cafe!

Good Morning

Coffee is ready, instant coffee if anyone like to have one. I woke up early =insomnia and thinking deep thought about ..you guess it...my chickens. Chicken housing maintenance work and stuff to be shopping for that today. I will be taking my tiny Pekin frizzle with me. ❤️

Pumpkin is an angry looking tiny rooster. I was told that he was give away around 5/6 weeks old to this rooster collection person, not sure what sort of life he had, but he is an angry little thing.

I would say that he had died and gone to heaven because he was from a roosters camp into my home with 13 hens. He is very busy each day running between 3 runs and spending time with each run throughout the day.

Still looking angry tiny rooster after 6 months in his new home....his eyes like fires, I do not like his frizzle feather at all, it is out of place, no show for tall tall rooster tail, unkept, and not appealing to look at. He is very nice to all my hens so gentlemanly and that is all I ask of him.

Have a great day all
