I want Sydney more than life!
I have to go get Wendy's flock on Thursday... I'm gonna leave work early to drive to Wausau, and then back to Eau Claire to crash for the night.... Maybe i could come see them (and fall in love even more??)
As my son pointed out last week (and he is right), he said, "Mom, just once I'd like to get a dog and raise it up from a puppy, so that it isn't abused or have 'issues', and doesn't try to eat the cats or chickens."
Since we've done so much rescue work over the last 6 or 7 years, all he's really worked with are dogs that are seriously messed up (both physically and mentally) when we get them to work with. While it is rewarding when one gets better enough to re-home; it also means many tears and frustrations when one can't recover enough to be rehomed. We generally worked with the large breed/dangerous breed dogs, and it definitely took its' toll. The 2 girls I have right now are the last dogs I will take for rescue/rehabilitation.
