puppy help....

I respect you for your choice, so many times I see people struggle with things such as this uneccessarily. If you don't want the dog just give it back, pretty simple. I understand its hard to do but why go thru the worry/trouble/heartache? Hope when you are ready for a puppy you can get the one that fits your family like a glove

I think that you made a good choice!! The owner should have told you BEFORE you took the puppy about the scabies. I am with you -- I would never take a pet with medical problems that might hurt my family!!!

Scabies isn't THAT hard to treat. My brother got me a puppy for Christmas from Lord knows where. The puppy had a potbelly, was covered with dandruff, and scratching himself like crazy. I immediately took him to the vet and she wormed him and took a skin scraping. He had scabies. She gave me some Revolution. Revolution is also for fleas and ticks. I treated him three weeks apart and the scabies is now completely gone. Neither us nor any of the other dogs got it. The vet has given him a clean bill of health. He was completely symptom free very shortly after the first application of Revolution, but it took a while for all his hair to grow back in.
