Puppy Poo....

Well, we haven't had any nasty poo since about 630am....

I'll give the pedialyte a try, and maybe run up to TSC and pick up some biosol. I am hopeful that it was just nerves on his part - none of my other dogs are showing any signs of sickness.

And as far as not taking him to the vet right away - I do this with my animals AND my children, I don't rush anyone to the emergency room at the first sign of sickness. 9 times out of 10 it ends up being something totally treatable at home. If he were lethargic, pale gums - showing any other symptoms other than the diahrea - I would have him there in a heartbeat, but he's otherwise doing OK.

Sorry - not meaning to sound mean - I think my lack of sleep is starting to kick in...

This looks like it was posted last night, so I doubt any vet was open, except for the ER which is about $300 to just walk in the door. A lot of times we come to these threads for simple solutions WITHOUT having to run up a huge vet bill, since a lot of us are UNEMPLOYED right now, but still do love our pets. That being said, if the runs hasn't cleared up, and the rawhide has been ruled out, calling the vet and explaining it may get you an apointment on Monday.

Thanks - you said it much better than I did, I really appreciate everyone's helpful comments - I learn something every time I come to this website - whether its chickens or other animals. Again thank you everyone.

Keeping fingers crossed that its started to clear up - I'll let you know.
