Did you get your pupper yet?
Yes!! He’s adorable but exhausting so I apologize for not posting pictures sooner. He loves treats so it’s been fun to teach him a couple of tricks! Let me introduce you to Otto...

Omg what a sweet baby!!!!!!!! Teddy has that same alligator toy too!
Hows training?
Training is going ok. He knows where to go to the potty outside but he will still have accidents in the kitchen where he is enclosed. He doesn’t go In his crate and will sleep thru the night now. 5:30 comes pretty early tho. His biting on us is driving us insane tho. He’s better with me (Not perfect especially if he gets riled up) but goes after my daughter constantly playing with her. He has sharp teeth! I have taught him to sit, lie down, and roll over and he will stay for a little while. A lot of the classes are cancelled due to Covid so we are having one of the instructors work with us individually. He is great around people. :frowWe are at the beach now and his favorite thing to do is to go up to other groups and introduce himself. He can’t read the social distancing guidelines.

Glad he's getting some socialization! What kind of training did you end up going with?
For the puppy biting be sure to provide him with plenty of good chew toys, and ball your hands into a fist, then redirect him ti a toy. It may take time and at this age there isn't much else to do.

For his biting, whenever he puts his teeth on you, you should squeal. I know this sounds weird, and you'll probably feel pretty stupid doing it, but that's how puppies learn. When they play with their litter mates and they bite too hard, then their sibling squeals to show that it hurts. Then the puppy learns that if he bites too hard, it hurts.
Also, if he bites really hard, your playing should end. Just get up, turn away, and ignore him. This may seem harsh, but it's important for his training. His biting may be kind of cute now, but when he gets older, he could really hurt someone. You have to teach him early that biting is absolutely unacceptable.
