Puppys head covered in gum!!!!!!!!!update gum is gone you guys rock!!!

How my puppy got gum all over his head I have no clue. Well how do it get if off, he looks really silly and he has stuff sticking to him like leaves, dirt, my others dogs hair. Anyone know anything that is safe for his face? My family is coming in 3 days and have never met the dog, and he looks awful. Any help would be great.

oil removes gum, try cooking oil or baby oil, but watch the eyes. then shampoo out.

peanut butter will work too, but the pup will be trying to eat it!

Try baby oil - cuz it smells sweet like a puppy. Vegetable oil would work, too. I've also heard peanut butter can help get gum out of people hair...

I hope you haven't tried all that messy stuff already! Just get baby wipes and that stuff takes off tar and everything. Just make sure you wipe the pup off with a damp dish cloth or towel afterward to get the alcohol off or any scent from the baby wipes.

I've always alternated peanut butter and ice cubes. Works on clothes too.

Those baby wipes are starting to scare me if they remove tar!

OK you guys are awsome the babyoil worked great!!!!!!!!!!!!The problem was getting the dog to hold still he tryed to eat the cotton balls, the lid to the babyoil and the dishrag
I was using, he also would not hold still for a picture. I thought he could not get into anymore trouble then digging HUGE hole in my yard or chewing everything he should not. Well I can add bubble blowing to his list. I could not get some off of his lower lip just because he would not hold still. Thanks all you rock.

Also if I would have tryed the peanut butter I do not know what would have happened, he wanted to eat babyoil!! puppys why do we do it??
