Purchasing a Chick out of area- Shipping, Packaging Suggestion

I am trying to get some chicks, if I purchase them from out of the area, too far to drive, what is the best way to have he shipped? Can chicks be sent through UPS, USPS?

Does anyone have suggestions for packaging?

They can be shipped thru USPS only. Just have them add pieces of grape or apples in the container.

Anywhere from 15 to 2- some chicks will help them stay warm.
