Pure Breeds Laying Different Colored Eggs? [pic]

I bought 10 pure bred Buff Orpington eggs from an eBay seller and got them today. She sent *18* and they were very well packed [woohoo!]. So, I'm very excited!

I just wondered what you guys thought about the color variation? Some of the eggs are dark-ish brown, some are a lighter pinkish brown [which is what our Buff Orpington we own now lays] and some are so light they are almost white w/ a slight yellowish tint.

Can pure bred Buff Os lay such a variety of colors? Or do you think I've got some mixed eggs or some sent by mistake from other breeds?

Just curious - it is a pretty range of colors anyway.

Absolutely and the more hens you have, the more variation you'll see.
