Pure entertainment

So I crumble up leftover pancakes to the chickens, and look who else wants to be a part of the flock
My dog would do that, but she is afraid of our largest hen. Our hen, who my son named Black Widow, will wait until our dog is pooping, then try to sneak attack from behind!😂 She has given our dog quite a complex, and now our dog always keeps a weary eye out for her.😂
Here is a picture of Black Widow, and our dog, Mya.

My barnyard mix Leghorn likes high places. They fly quite good, but she takes the stairs. I guess she wants to help me in my artist loft

I love being around my chickens. They each have different personalities. I have five 17 week old pullets. I am a first time chicken owner.
A really funny thing I see often is two chickens running at each other, coming to a screeching halt, raising their heads and flaring out their neck feathers. Eyeball to eyeball stares. Then as if on cue, they seem to think, "on, hey", then go back to their scratching and pecking for bugs.
Hahaha

I have a sense of satisfaction when I look at my Bovan Browns, who came from an egg laying operation. They looked rough when I got them. They were in a molt and their toe nails were so long. Now, they have feathered out, are back to laying in a natural time setting, and are happily free ranging on my property. Their toe nails have dug for enough hidden morsels that they are worn down to regular length. When I sit out here, they gather around and "talk" to me in their varied chicken sounds.
