I really wish the TEXAS A&M vernacular would be dropped from any strain/bloodline of coturnix. They do not exist! They never really made it out of the TA&M lab, and the only reason they have so much "paperwork" associated with them is because the university had to account for all the money they spent on producing a "CHICKEN REPLACEMENT" that went no where!

Just my opinion.

2 pound white Coturnix quail??? Two pounds???
I have both the A&M whites and the brown jumbo coturnix. There is only one week between them. I plan to weigh them in a couple weeks to see what their weight really is. It's looks like the browns will be a little heaver than the whites. The breast of the whites seem to be fuller than the jumbo browns, by feel.

All kidding aside, I think/hope you will be happy with my babies! I was about to scrap most of that line, but they work so well for me....other than the beer sexing thing.

I have 3rd generation of your goldens and Tibetans (Some crossed with my whites) cooking in the bator right now. Possibly my last hatch for the season

There are very few statements anywhere that I totally agree with, but that one I agree with 100%. Anyone that "hypes" the species.....hurts us all! They are coturnix....nothing more.
