Purina Duck Pellets

Hello. Has anyone tried the Purina Duck Pellets? A lady at tsc recommended it to me, but I haven’t found many reviews on it.
I have not tried it yet because my TSC only sells the 5 pound bag, but if they sold it in a 50 pound bag I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I feed all of mine the Purina duck pellets and love it. I fortunately have a TSC nearby that sells the big bags.
It seems TSC is changing all the time to try and meet consumer need. That's good info that it is available! :highfive:

It's very convenient to have things ordered for pick up in store when they are available but not carried. :thumbsup

We've been using the Purina duck pellets for 4-5 months now but were previously using Purina flock raiser.
We bought a 5lb bag of duck pellets when TS started carring them and put a small dish out next to their regular feed every day. They wouldnt touch the flock raiser until the duck pellets were totally gone.
It's been a struggle to get the big bags at our TS but @DuckyDonna has been able to work it out so we can get the big bags until our store starts stocking them :)
The nice thing is that you can give them to ducklings and adult birds so you're only buying one kind of feed.

Yup, @Runner duck mom said it all. We love them. Good for the girls as well as the drakes. Just provide oyster shell on the side which we were doing anyway using the flock raise and layena pellets. I like having one feed for all the ducks. It probably wouldn't work if you have a mixed flock with chickens, turkeys, geese and such but it's great for ducks and provides all the nutrients they need.

For anyone who's TSC doesn't have the product or they just carry the 5lb bags. Don't give up, bug them until they get it in. That's what we did and it worked! We started around Thanksgiving and it took until now to get them. They are sending the big bags over from another TSC to ours in Dallas until they can get their shipment into our store. Tell them you've got so many ducks a 5lb bag would only last a day and then add up the cost! It's crazy so don't let up. Be the biggest pain in the butt you can and they will eventually get them in. I would think that especially with chick days coming soon it would be to their advantage to get it in asap!
