I use the chick starter from TSC and it has been working good so far. I do read the date on the bag and dig thru the stack to get the freshest. but, lately that hasn't been a problem because TSC does not rotate their bags and the newest has been on the top.
I was buying their Wild Bird Food in the 35# bags, but they've been out for the last 3 weeks and their Royal Wing is $14.99 for 50#. So I went down the road a half mile to Wal Mart and bought Morning Song bird seed for $11.48 for a 50# bag.
Soooo many times I've gone into TSc with money to spend and the stuff I want isn't there, so I go someplace else.
