Breeding for extra bloom(Egg Cuticle layer) can be done, I've seen what it looks like purple eggs or plum eggs but it's a heavy layer of bloom on top of the brown layer, the Cuticle works as an antibacterial layer

I have a BCM hen that lays an egg with the heavy bloom I never thought about it, but it does look purple. I’ll have to post a picture when she lays another one

Is this what people are considering purple egg in the middle? This is from one of my BCM hens her name is Mad C ( named after a European graffiti artist) sometime Mad C’s eggs having an even bloom and it looks like they’re spray-painted lol

My columbian rocks lay tan eggs for the most part. My girl Christina lays pink ones instead of tan though. Other than that I get blue, green (my EE columbian rock cross lays green ones), and dark reddish speckled. I have a very pretty egg basket!

I was reading up on the Australian Langshan and apparently they were created from croad Langshans. Their tall needs to be less than 35 degree angle.
