Purple comb

Hi, guys.

So Agi isn't doing so well right now, and she has a purplish comb! All the girls I've had have had that, but I still don't know what it is. I think it might be a bad sign though

. Is it just bruising?

Hi Chickenlover. Purple combs are common in dying birds. An other wise healthy bird with a purple comb can have a heart condition or hypertension. This is probably not a good sign. I would keep her as warm and comfortable as possible. I am so sorry about Agi.

Great!! I hope this means she is recovering! Sometimes birds can and do pop out from what ever was ailing them. Keep us posted! I truly hopes she makes a complete recovery!!!

She still has a slightly purple comb, but she's eating,drinking,digging and jumping into her bed(she wasn't doing all that before)
