Guys, this is really weird, Agi's comb is sometimes really purple, and then suddenly it just disapears. It's almost like she's dying, not dying, dying, not dying. Why is this?

She could have a heart problem. Just like people get blue lips when they have heart issues. How much of the comb goes purple and does it completely go red again?

I really think a vet should see her. Maybe she has mitral valve prolapse - there may be medication available that could be used in small dose for a chicken.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough money for the vet, Agi doesn't seem in any pain anyway. When her comb goes purple, it completely covers the back part, she has a fairly large comb (that flops over;-)) so there is always a bit at the front that isn't covered. When it goes red, there's just a tiny bit at the back which has a tiny bit of purple. But, the weird thing is, when she has a purple comb, she seems more energetic then when she has a red comb! Also her poop isn't looking so good (mainly because she hasn't eaten her seed in a while) It's very liquidy and it is more brown then black.
She has a very messy butt and I will have to clean it again. A while ago, there were a lot of flies (duh it's Australia) and they layed their eggs in her poopy feathers and she had maggots crawling in. my dad and brother (I didn't have the stomach to do it) cleaned her with a tiny bit of Dettol which in fact did kill the maggots, but would that have affected her?,

P.S. I really really really hope she doesn't have heart problems
