I have a Buckeye pullet who recently had some puss-like substance around her eyes. It wasn't puss, but it looked like it from a distance. A closer look revealed that it was just watery bubbles around her eyes. I isolated her from the rest of the flock to see what happened.
Within minutes, I returned from feeding the other chickens and found that the "puss" was completely gone. I don't know what happened. I thought maybe it was a reaction to a slug I fed her last night, or a reaction to the Layer ration we just began feeding her a couple days ago, but that still doesn't explain how it disappeared so suddenly.
Should I keep her isolated to make sure nothing is wrong, or is this just some weird thing that happens once in awhile but is not contagious? Any advice is appreciated.
God bless,
~Gresh~
