Put babies under broody?

I really don't have a place to separate them and she's been broody for a month ..she's a white cochin just a year omg lol

I have never had any luck putting chicks under broodies. Some people say to do it at night. I would watch closely. The last time I tried, the hen attacked the chicks and killed one before I could grab them!
