Put Eggs Under my Broody Hen today

Well, I did it.

I put a dozen fertile eggs under my broody hen today.

I bought 6 Copper Marans, 2 Easter Egger, 2 Olive Egger, and 2 Mille Fleur from the lady behind me.

My broody hen is very happy.

My other two hens, however, have quit laying today.
She is in the next they love and they, so far, have refused to lay in any other nest.
Hopefully, they'll get over that!

It will be fun to see what percentage hens/roos I get.

She is a barred rock.
Can't take a photo - she's on a nest of eggs and it's dark in there.

Day 2 and she seems very happy.
I wonder if a dozen eggs are too many?
She's awfully "spread out" over them - but appears to be happy.

I made another nesting area close by and got an egg this morning so at least one of the other two hens is laying now.
