Put Food & Water in Coop?

Oh, great, that makes me feel better. If I have rat problems I will definately take the food in, but until then I am going to hope that all the stray cats take care of that problem. I know my two have the house covered

I was thinking about leaving the door to the run open, once I know what kind of critters are attracted to my coop. I'm in the city, so I'm not quite as worried about wildlife as I would be in the country. Our motion sensor lights scare away most of the larger variety.

Is your run predator proof? Please don't underestimate the minds of critters, especially city critters:D You do have 'em...you may just not see 'em.

I have to edit. I think your run is made of chicken wire? My dad told me that chicken wire is designed to keep chickens in...not predators out. Just thinking about your little ones.

Thank you, and I am not positive that it is predator proof. I tried hard to make it so, but I did use the chicken wire versus the stronger stuff with smaller holes. Their coop is entirely enclosed in plywood though, except for the ventilation at the roof, so I think at least at night they are safe. I'll have to see what I can do to make the run safer though, I don't have any buried chicken wire, and I hear that's a good thing to do to prevent digging.
