putting a shower drain in a kiddie pool

hmmmm, I was blessed to find smooth ones. It was just a thought, anyway. I get them at the plumbing supply store. I also get some good ideas there. Some not so good.

For anyone interested or coming into this conversation late (like me) a better option (tho harder to acquire sometimes) is bulkheads...

These
are designed to penetrate a surface and securely hold itself in place with a gasket to prevent leaks. This will prevent the breaking of glue seals and flexing of the plastic in kiddie pools and such. A far better option than glueing in drains (but, like I said, a little harder to get). Almost all aquarium shops should carry them.
