How old do my chicks need to be to put them with my hens & rooster? They are free range and come In at night. How old are they before they know to come in at dark? they are 6 weeks old now

It's best to introduce like numbers and like sizes. 6 week olds that weren't raised with the flock will likely be brutalized.
You can try it now but be on watch. They're all individuals but flock animals see outsiders as a threat to the health of the flock.
They always know to come in at night if they've slept in a building before.
