Putting ducks away at night

Mine see the yellow broom and line up straight in a row to waddle their little wagging butts into the house with only speedy and sugar trying to detour to the dogfood the rest go straight down the hall to bedroom. They usually try to not go in the fenced area that is their corner to hop on the bed. But they get the point.

My ducks aren't dense at all. They have trained me to announce treats are being served by yelling, "Duck-ducks, house-house," and all nine march into the shelter, ready for their deserved reward.
That's what I'm talking about!
Almost anything will work, as long as you follow up with treats and be consistent. Mine always want to sleep outside at night. Ironically they nap in their house during the day.

My little buggers actually seem to enjoy going up and down their ramp. They especially love the one to the pool. Sometimes all 5 nap up there.

I agree with everyone else! My ducks don't prefer the ups. They literally have one tiny step up into their coop at night and they'll literally walk over to the door when it starts to get dark, then stand in front of the door like it takes them 15 minutes to muster up the courtage to take that tiny step up and in :lau but they definitely know when it's time to come in!

My ducks don't mind going up, but DOWN that's a big no-no. Two inches of height difference and they spend ten minutes building up the courage. Haha!

Maybe you can make the entrance less scary by building up a half circle of earth in front, instead of one wood ladder? And a bigger opening maybe?
