This morning she had them all under her. The babies are 3 days old by now. It is time for them to get out of the nest and eat and drink.. I made them a nice place on the floor to do that with plenty of bedding. I put them all down there and pulled the hen out.... Well all she did was fly back up into the nest box. I tried to take her out again and she wanted NO part of it. I brought them in. She can't just sit on them forever. Now I feel like an idiot. I really thought this would work. Now I have a hen sitting on nothing. Will she get over it? I have some chicken eggs due to hatch in about 10 days. Should I stick a couple of those under her. Well at least I will learn from this...
