I'm a new chicken Nanny and loving everything about my 3 chicks.
I have a Barred Rock, a Buff Orphington and an Easter Egger.
The first two are six weeks old and the Easter Egger is 4.
I live in Marlton , NJ and Im not sure about when I can move my sweeties outside. They are currently in my garage in a very lg. Rubbermaid "coop"/ container, covered by chcken wire?
Any suggestions?
PS the first 2 are fully feathered.

! Pleased you joined our community! Chickens are ready to go outside at 6 weeks - but as the weather is getting warmer your 4 week old is probably good to go as well. Good luck to you!

Hi! I have almost exactly the same chickens as yours (only 3) except I have a Leghorn instead of an Easter Egger. I had them out at six weeks and they did fine.

If you weather is warm I would put all of them out at the same time. Otherwise(cool weather) I would keep them all in another week or two to give the younger ones a chance to feather out . My thinking is if they all go out together it may be less likely to incite bullying and feather pulling - they will all be awestruck at the great outdoors and may forget about pecking order for awhile.
