Ive been raising blue and black giants for several years . I just had a hatch that has produced some yellow chicks. they have never done this before. the chicks have always been black or blue, or a combo off, or the normal jersey chick color, but never yellow. and I was wondering id this might be a splash chick. maybe someone could help me out here. thanks........http://cdn.backyardchickens.com/2/20/200x200px-ZC-20925d34_tn.jpeg

Are they Splash? Although Black to Blue matings are not supposed to produce splash.
Years ago the Whites were produced from the Black line, I think they got the most of it bred out though. Maybe this is a throw back.

Are your matings specifically black to blue or are they flock bred so that the possibility of a blue to blue mating is there. if this is the case then I would suspect splash. The possibility of some of your birds carrying recessive white might also be there and these chicks inherited two copies of it and therefore white.
