I saw this chicken feeder design posted by KickenChicken and had a question. What size hole should I make? I have a 2-1/8" hole saw, would that be adequate for them to fit their head in to eat.

That'll do it. I used a 2" hole saw bit on my 3" ABS and it's perfect.

I didn't cement mine to make it easy to clean. It works, but I have to be careful that it doesn't get too loose or feed everywhere

We just made one of these and used Monk's as a prototype. I just asked him a few questions with the waterer and he is VERY helpful!!! We used the drill bit for doorknobs! worked wonderful and it is the perfect size!! make sure after you sand it down and then maybe use some steel wool or something to get the little pieces off... This is the BEST feeder! no waste, no poo in it, does not take up room! we love it

I find I have to give mine a few gentle kicks everyfew days so it fills back up. Now that being said when it does get really low it will gravity fill itself.
