PVC feeder spilling feed

Is the run secure? If it is happening overnight.....it is almost certainly rats or mice.
Run is very secure. I have an apron of hardware cloth all around and no holes. Possibly a mouse could squeeze in somehow, but it would have to be tiny. We have two cats that are good mousers as well, although I will have to keep a lookout for rodents.

You can put a piece of PVC to extend the depth they have to stick their heads in, to make it deeper. The only problem I see with that though is, you used 2" PVC and they may scrape their combs. 3" PVC would be better to use, no matter how many chickens you have.

I didn't think of them scraping their combs as they got bigger. Right now they are only 12 weeks. It wouldn't be any big deal to swap them out for 3 or 4 inch pipe later, though. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I use 3" pipe with a 2" extender.

Still had issues with crumbles.
All waste stopped when I switched to pellets.

Hope this helps. PVC fitting.jpg

Mine use to do that. I took gorilla tape and put in on the bottom 1/3 of the opening. Now they don't play in it tossing all the food. After a bit the tape breaks down but then I found this and cut in in half then glued in into place.

Would you mind posting what you cut in half a glued? For some reason I can't see the image.
