PVC for water tank

I live in RHODE ISLAND. It isn't heat I'm worried about. I have to run a heater wire on my PVC. that is why I am switching from garden hose to PVC, so that I can heat it. I want to install the little cups for watering too. I will have about 40 layers at about Christmas which is when they start to lay after their fall break. My 275 gal tank is slightly higher than the proposed PVC. I can see why you are putting your PVC under your coop.

Sorry I did not respond sooner. Been working on a new rabbit barn. I have not had a problem with heat. However the coup is under a big oak tree and next to the shop. My chickens also free range during the day so most (not all) of the time they are not in it during the heat of the day. We have other water they can get to during the day. I do like the vertical pipes. If one valve sticks and does not work or one stick open they still have others to get water from. Seen people do the same thing with horizonal pipe but if a valve sticks open you will drain the tank in no time. Hope this help and let me know if I can help.
Thanks Todd
