PVC run

hi there
First time having chickens.
Want to make a portable pvc run. What size pipe is better? 1” or 3/4” or bigger or smaller? And what size run would you recommend?
The coop is too small for 5 chicks and 2 silkies so need to let them range outside the coop without the fear of predators.

I think I just used 5/8inch PVC pipe and place it on top of rebar that I pound into the ground. I have built growing tunnels, but have also used it to separate my chickens. You could build a lot bigger if you use the corner connectors and make large squares and place them on rebar so it can’t get knocked over or moved by animals

I would just use cattle panels and forget the PVC pipe, cheaper and stronger to use cattle panels.

Yea I built one with PVC and didn't use it very long.

It is hard to make PVC strong enough to hold up to dogs.

I agree that cattle panels are a better choice.
