I hope you have a backup generator too, for powering the escalator ... If the power goes out ... Since you have power at the coop for the escalator ... Maybe add central air? ;) :lol:

silly me, I was about to install window units! yes, duh- central air! the plumbers come this afternoon but maybe I can get HVAC out tomorrow.
And come on-

they're only chickens, if the power goes out they can just walk.
 
I have a small coop with a pvc vent. It has a elbow on the end the theory being the wind blowing across the bottom will cause it to pull air out of the coop. It seems to work no frost bite last winter. It has a screen over the opening in the inside of coop. I didn't glue the two joints on each elbow so I could take it apart to clean. It seems to suck quite a bit of dust from coop. This is what we got coming in a few months. LOL
