Pycheon hen. Singular. She needs friends and a husband.

I called Welp Hatchery on Friday. Because someone on Facebook said that they got their Pyncheon from there three years ago. The hatchery is in Iowa. The really sweet person who answered said they carried them a few years ago, but stopped. She had the best midwestern accent. The search continues.

I have a bonded pair of Seramas that I would be willing to rehome to you for free if I am sure they're going to a good home. Seramas are an awesome breed. They're smaller than bantams, very hard and very friendly. Some of my girls are over 12 years old and still laying
The roo is a year old.
The pullet is about 4 months old; she is about ready to start laying. I can send you pictures if you want.
They are pretty tame; they will eat out of your hand.
I would be willing to meet you part way, I'm in San Diego
The the only reason I'm getting rid of them is my chickens are pets and I find it hard to give them all individual attention if there are more than 10 of them. Please let me know by private message if you are interested. Thank you

Everywher I've searched has had a different spelling, with an "n": pyncheon. May pop up more on your search engine. There is a thread here under Breed Focus-Pyncheon. The facebook group is: https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=pyncheon bantam conservation
There has been one post this year, so far, but you need to join the group to see more than for the past few months. From what I have read, it is a US breed. The one you have reminds me of the beautiful Mille Fleur in coloration. There were a few people on the facebook site who were breeding them this past year. Good luck.

Sad sad news.

I was in Altadena, CA. And our home was a victim of the Eaton Fires. I lost all my chickens. We could not take them. The fire took them in their sleep I hope. 17 in all. Including Miss Pyncheon. The chaos of that night, 100 mph winds, no power, and we had to leave in 20 minutes. We lost them all.

We went back today to no home, no garage, everything burned to ash. Only one single home remains on our entire block and it is just to the East of us. Which is very good for us, it feels like an oasis.

My heart hurts. I will get chickens back on the land as soon as I can. First we have to get back. The national guard finally left with their machine guns and armored humvees. They blocked us out for almost two weeks.

No one came to stop the firee. No water in the hydrants, 911 never responded. SCE basically burned us down (their tower exploded and started the fire) and the city let us burn.

I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through. I'm a native southern Californian even though I live in Arizona. My heart aches for your losses. Praying for you and your family.
