pygmy goat ??? PICTURE ADDED

Cool when my daughter was growing up she raised pygmy goats, we had 30 plus of them. It appears to be an angora, do you have any history on it?

Here at the homestead we do not have any pygmy goats, we have dairy and meat goats, soon to be just dairy. I do remember owning the pygmy's because they always had twins of triplets.

It is hard to guess a breed based just on coat. Heck, I have had purebred LaManchas with coats that get very long in the winter time. Some lines on goats within a breed can be hairier than other lines within the same breed. I have had other lines of LaManchas that stay slick. The slick goats pass on the slick trait and the hairy goats pass on the hairy trait. When you cross them, you get either, depending on background genetics, of course.

My point being, you can't always go by coat. Especially with a buck, they have more hair usually.
