I don't know if anyone is still on this thread, but I have a German Shepherd/ Husky mix who is VERY friendly, and a little Jack Russell the same way, would they get along with baby goats? I'm not sure how most dogs are about goats.

German Shepherds and Huskies have incredibly high prey drives that lead them to kill most non canines. Sometimes they'll even target smaller dogs, but that is not the case if you have a Jack Russel Terrier. Jack Russell's also have high prey drives, but that is normally geared towards rodents and whatnot. Never leave your dogs unattended with the kids, ever. Do not house them together, either. Keep the goats safe and separate. All it takes is for one goat to run and that'll turn on a dog to chase and kill.

Even if they appear to get along under supervision, still, never let them be alone. Unless you want a tragedy to occur.

My Shepherd weirdly won't chase our ducks (because my ducks chase her) nor our chickens, only my cat. I think she learned her lesson to not mess with poultry from the ducks, lol!
