Does anybody raise or know of anybody who has Pyncheon bantams? All my good leads (such as Rusty Hart) have been impossible to contact. I've been trying to acquire Pyncheons for years and am afraid there's none left beside the hatchery stock which all have incorrect leg coloring and other faults.

Have you located any Pyncheon breeders? The only response I have ever gotten was from a person who had seen some at a swap meet in MA and posted a picture of them on his blog. He referred me to the New England Bantam Club whose secretary suggested I place an ad in their newsletter, which I did. I hate to think I’ll have to do that with every club, but I’m desperate.

I was looking too, and haven't turned up a source other than Stromberg and Welp Hatchery. This is far from ideal, but it may be the only place to start.

I ordered 30 Pyncheon chicks through Stromberg’s; all were alive upon arrival; two soon showed signs of a wry neck (I have since had to dispense with them as their condition worsened). As you can imagine, there is a lot of variety among them - some are almost completely white, others are more colored. I will keep the best of the latter (have to start breeding somewhere) and give away the rest.

Not likely anyone looking will see this post in time, but Simone Roland on Rare Chicken Breeds page of FB is selling hatching eggs.

I’m sure no one is still looking, but I’ve found two sources for them and will soon has some myself. I’ve got three pullets and a male is being shipped to me tomorrow.

Cool! Keep us updated on them, I heard about these last month, and how hard it is to find any, which is a shame because they are cool looking birds.

Hi, Are you still working with the Pyncheons?
I’m looking for breeder stock, before ordering hatchery eggs.
