We dewormed our hens with Ivermectrin about 3 months ago.
They've also been treated for Coccidia.
They still seem like skimpy eaters and a little thin, I had a fecal test done and it showed what the vet called "No coccidia, but a few round worm eggs" and suggested Wazine. However the Wazine says not for use in layers.
I have Valbazen, Safefuard and Pyrantel. The Pyrantel is the yellow liquid that they give puppies and kittens for roundworms so I thought that would be best. Does anyone know if the dosage is the same for the chickens? Its 1cc per 10# for dogs. Should I treat 10 days later or just one dose? Also, would you treat for "just a few round worm eggs"? If they were goats no, if dogs yes, whats the answer for chickens? Thanks!

Thank-you both! I will double check with the vet but I think that it is the 4.54 mg/ml

Would you suggest Valbazen or Pyrantel? Is there a shorter egg withdrawl with either?

In Canada, there is a zero day egg withdrawal when using Wazine, so I figure if it is okay for Canadians, it's okay for me.

In the US, if very small doses of Safeguard are given for five days in a row there is a zero day egg withdrawal.
