With Easter fast approaching I just wanted to wish you all a happy Easter. For those travelling - may your drive be safe, and for those just relaxing at home for the holiday ....enjoy. However you are planning to spend your holiday- may you all have a quackie time with your family and friends.

You always do the neatest photo shoots with your calm ducks...my ducks would be climbing the walls if I tried to shove them in an egg

Lol Nicky...I put her in while the chocolate was melted and her feet got set in the chocolate so she cant move...

Just kidding it was of course a bought egg- I was worried I had gotten one too small - but this is the smallest of all the ducklings hatched last weekend and a perfect fit. The egg was even cracked when I opened the wrapper and the large piece was easy to remove.

I actually take about ten photos for every good one they move around so much- turn their head at the wrong moment..- so glad that we have digital cameras these days. Since January alone I have taken over 300 photos of my ducks... I will have to put up some of the " blooper" shots one day..mostly ones that include a huge ducky face taking the whole photo- or just a ducky butt as it runs off,

I CAN'T believe you took that photo!

How in the world did you do that? That's amazing! It looks as if the chocolate egg shell was made especially for that baby. Just adorable.

I know what you mean about taking so many shots for just one good picture. They move so quickly and don't respond to the command, "Stay." I also have a lot of close-up pictures of duckling and gosling beaks, as they are coming for the camera.

You're incredible. I would love to see more of your pictures. Please post more of them!

Lamar Estate- its so fun taking shots with props. Frustrating at times... But last night was fun- so on the way home from work I bought some more eggs. I have to get my daughter to help at times - bringing me different ducklings if one is getting upset. I dont want them to have a bad experience just because I want some cute photos. Sadly .... the egg is not fit for consumption...so I have rinsed it out for now in the hope of taking some more photos...once I copy all the current ones so I can make some room on the memory card.

And just to prove they dont always stay....
