The quail are panting. It's normal for them to do when they are stressed out or too warm, it helps them stay cool. They might be stressed out from the move/new birds, or maybe their cage is in a warmer spot. Your birds sound okay, just keep an eye on them and make sure they have plenty of shade and water.

thank you for your info.. just read it after I posted , should I put a fan on them there in a cage 3ft wide x8ft long total of 10-12 in cage ,the sun is shinning in so I put a shad screen over part of cage. but there was still plenty of shade in back of cage

Mines are in full shade, but summer temps still crawl up in the 90's. Quail loves cold, but heat is hard on them. I put a fan in there for them over their sand box with a timer for daytime hours only. If the breeze is too much, they can move over. If they're hot, they lay under it. They love it.

they were hurting my females making there back head raw I removed males ,,,question dose it mean they are male for sure when they grab back of head and jump on there back ?
I have seen females do similar. Maybe it's a form of domination or establishing packing order. If you have one that's too aggressive, you may have to remove them. Make sure you don't have too many males per female.
