Is it possible to icubate Bobwhite quail and bantam cochin and OE at the same time in the same incubator? I have read that quail need higher humidity, but then so do bantams. I am afraid of drowning one and not having enough humidity for the other.

And then can the go in the same brooder?? The bob's will be TINY!!

Thanks for any help!!

It is ok to set them at the same time. I use a steady 50% humidity for incubation on quail, and that is the mid-range 'norm' on chicken eggs. Then bump it up to at least 70% for hatch.
Bobwhites take 23 days(I think) for incubation, and bantams take 19-21 days, so be sure to set them so they hatch at the same time, or make sure you have a seperate hatcher.
I would say they can not be brooded together. The quail chicks are tiny, but they are a lot mor tiny than bantam chicks. The bobwhites like to peck a lot to, and since they move around better faster than a chicken does, I would say brooding them together would just be asking for trouble.

I have brooded chicks and bobwhites together. If I have a large amount of bobwhites, say 100, they get their own brooder but if just a small amount, around 15 or 20, they brood with chicks. of course you will have to use the quail waterer. Just make sure the brooder is large so everyone can have plenty of space. the only thing you must remember is- newly hatched chicks and newly hatched quail together is ok. if the quail have been by themselves for a week or more NEVER put another species with them!

Thanks guys!! They are due to hatch about a week part, so differnt brooder it is. I will pull them out to hatch, I have a LG still air for hatching. This is my first go around with quail so heres hoping I have a good hatch
