Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

My hubby is an electrician, but a carpenter on the side. He did it all himself. I helped very little but he took all of my ideas, concerns, and wishes, and made them. The building is 12'x20' Amish shed.

Here's it framed on the inside for the four mini-coops inside.

Here's the inside of one.

Doors are 90lb magnet on the inside, and a pair of 90lb magnet on the outside.
Looks perfect for bantams.

Debbie, better watch out. if that sod takes off you might have to mow it. lol
I don't have chickens so all I do is a little gardening in raised beds.
so far I have 8 jalapeno peppers. 4 bell peppers, peas, beans, and five tomatoes planted. all I have left are a few buttercup squash. still thinking I might put in a few rows of sweet corn. it doesn't pay to buy corn to freeze,.
I have one empty raised bed. it needs some repair. I found an old strawberry bed that I might clean out and plant something in it.

Wow nice coup. Debating planting next field sweet corn. We are going into cooldown dont want to have seed rot. Watching weather closely.
Wife left back sliding door of barn open just enough lost hen with chicks and another hen.
Now all the chickens sit in the trees at night, hummm. cant get them back inside. Might have to start over.
Something go wrong allways seems to. Murphys law.

Dang it Tor. Sorry to hear about the losses and the flock
in shock. Maybe some treats can coax them back. Mine
know what a bag of meal worms is and come running.
Yep, I'm holding off on the maters and peppers and
other stuff that can't take the cold soil. Nice part is
that it's early and ahead of the timing game so far.

Stay Safe ... bigz

So sorry for your loss. :hugs

If they come back to the barn to eat, try locking them in for a couple of days.

Sorry to hear TOR. Can't believe you can't coax them back in with treats of some sort.
I had an escape the other day. I left the gate unlatched after tilling the run, went to get plants from the Amish greenhouse and got home to see them scratching in the mulch.
Cooper has full permission to chase/herd them back in, so he was thrilled. Got them all back in but one. Cooper found her in his doghouse, so I closed the gate to the kennel and we went back in the house. Hour later looked out and she was in the kennel so went back out (without Cooper) scooped her up and put her back.
Tomatoes and peppers are in those big farm/mineral pots.
