Quail and Chickens

Can they live peacefully together? Also, how much room in a house and in a coop does a quail need, minumum?

Housing quail and chickens together is an old argument here. Some people do it successfully, but if your chickens happen to be carriers of a particular disease (the chickens may or may not have symptoms) the disease can kill the quail.

Disease is a big issue. Also size difference between the species, chickens can kill quail.

Space needs are different with different species of quail. Coturnix Quail can get by on 1 sq foot per bird. Larger species like Bobwhites need 4 sq feet per bird. The more space you can give any quail, the happier they will be.
