I've got a mixed brooder of silky chicks and coturnix chicks. I've been giving grit for a few days now. I have some raw yellow squash that I'd like to give them (ends from cutting up squash for dinner). I also have some leftover pasta. Can I give these things to the coturnix as well as to the chicks? What if I mix in scrambled egg--if the squash and pasta was all right, is it still all right with the egg?

Yea today I scrambled some eggs, my 1.5 week old a&M's just ran around trying to get away from the plate with the eggs...

My jumbo's ate some though although most just fell through to the ground when they tried to scratch them

My coturnix arent big on treats either...

Your quails should LOVE that! At first coturnix don't seem to like wet things (like apples and other fruits and vegies) but once they get used to the fact that they're wet they will start eating them like they're going out of style. Don't be disapointed if the first time you offer them this sort of food if they don't act too interested...they are strange like that
