what can u tell me about this breed i just bought a roo and 2 hens and the guy i bought them from said they were rare so please tell me about this breed

Do you have photos? Qauil is a color, more specifically, not a common color nor recognized color with Araucanas.

Araucanas themselves are excellent layers of beautiful blue eggs, they're very broody, quite friendly, and excellent foragers. Their lack of tail, though hindering fertility, is also good for predatorial escapes.

You're thinking of Quail Antwerps. Araucanas have no tail, no beard, and lay blue eggs. That bird there looks to be a D'Anver.

If yours lay green or blue eggs, but looks like that, it is an Easter Egger. They're a crossbred or unrecognized chicken that come in a variety of colors, lay a variety of egg colors, and usually have a tail, unlike Araucanas.
