Quail at Farmers Market

We’re selling quail at a local farmers market and we got the okay to bring one of our hens! Does anyone have ideas or photos for a small portable cage or set up that we could bring a bird for display?

From experience, it's always a bit stressful for everyone involved to bring quail anywhere. Chances are that your quail will not enjoy the change in scenery and probably be stressed from people poking at it, so you may want to consider the impact on your birds - a hen might stop laying afterwards if too stressed.

I would recommend a rabbit or guinea pig cage as they're fairly portable, visible, and have enclosed bottoms. Obviously you'll want to make sure the birds have water, food, and adequate shade - and I would recommend at least two quail rather than one, it's less stressful for them.
