    Hello
My wife and I have been planning on raising quail for some time now. We are wondering if anyone knows of any brokers for quail. We will be selling on our own but we would like to have an out if it is needed. Being from South Dakota I am not sure if there is much of a local market for quail like there is in other portions of the country.
    Thanks for the help.

You would be surprised. I had the owners of the local feed store ask me if I had quail when I bought game bird feed. After saying yes, they wanted to know all about it. Now they ask me every week to get a flyer together as they are getting calls all the time for quail and want to refer to me. I have yet to sell as I just started this past year, but I have found people get interested really fast. And not for hunting per say, but for table meat and restocking their ranches. Ask around and you may find more interest in your area then you are aware of.

Just wanted to add... Welcome to BYC! [IMG]

I raised Coturnix last year and was not much market for them. Took me all year to get another start this year. Scarce as hens teeth. We really enjoy pickled quail eggs ; takes 50 for a quart jar. We used a little mustard and tastes like a deviled egg, but without mayo; I'm allergic to soy, so this is a great alternative.
