I hatched some quail chicks on 8/9/24. Only one had hatching troubles, and died They are ten days old. One of them has become weak and doesn't want to walk. When it does it goes backwards really fast and then stops and lays there. It will eat and drink if I hold it by the food and water because it won't stand by itself. it is on a game bird starter feed. Hatched-out normally. only one other in this hatch of 9 has died. Don't know what to do.

What are you feeding them? Nutrition label would be very helpful.
What kind of bedding is that?
What is the temp at the warm end of your brooder? The cool end?
Do all of them look to be at the same level of development? They look like 7-8 day old chicks rather than 10 days old.

I'm feeding them purina gsme bird starter. It is a large flake rabbit bedding. There are 2 chicks that are 2 days younger and one that is 4 days younger than the rest, but this one is ten days old. The brood is outside in a hutch that is closed on 3 sides, but can open when it got hot outside. The temp under the heat lamp is around 120-100 depending on the outside temperature. And 80ish on the edge. All the others are very active and show no signs of illness.
The chick in the photo died over night.
