Quail Chick with Crooked Face

This baby is 2 weeks old today. S/he’s eating and growing fine, but it’s like her/his head is turning into the letter S.

It started with a little underbite and progressed. We definitely won’t breed it, but is there anything else I can do to help it live a happy life?

It’s name is Wampus. As in cattywampus.

I know more about chickens and very little about quail, but it might be the beginning of a scissor beak or cross beak defect. Most eat better from a deep bowl, and sometimes wet feed can be used to help them get enough. You would be good to post on the quail forum as well—click on the green boxhere:
