Quail chick with eyelid problem?

Hello! I just recently started hatching quails. I hatched a quail with some sort of eye problem, not sure if it was genetic. Both eyes are affected, it’s not as active as the other chicks and it cannot detect that there is food nearby.(possibly blind?) I’ve been putting ointment on both eyes and feeding electrolytes, but I’m not sure what else I can do. If anyone has a possible diagnosis or any tip on how I can better help this chick, it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading!

Is it an albino? Albinos almost always have some sort of eye problem, it seems. If it is an aalbino, you can probably expect other health issues as well.

Thanks for the comment. I think it’s a Texas am because the eyes are black and not red. The eyes are a bit filmy though.

Are the parents dotted whites? Are there any signs of respiratory issues?

I bought the eggs from a seller online, I’m not sure.

i would keep a close watch on it. It may not survive, but keep it warm, maybe give it some Nutri-Drench, and good luck!
